Features
The HD392 is a compact device, developed to sit snugly within the average adult sized ear canal. Ready to try straight-away at home without the need for an ear impression. If however, you experience discomfort or unwanted feedback, it comes supplied with 4 different silicone fitting tips (or domes) for an improved fit.
The body (shell) of the HD392 is beige coloured. Right sided HD392s have red printing on the shell, left sided HD392s have blue printing.
A thin, short pull cord attached to the outer side of the hearing aid makes removing the HD392 a simple task.
Suitable for those with a mild to moderate hearing loss, the HD392 incorporates a number of impressive functions to help you enjoy the optimum listening experience. Advanced noise reduction means your hearing aid will automatically adapt to fit with your listening environment.
A sophisticated feedback management system also works to reduce the likelihood of any unwanted whistling. A tinnitus masking programme can be included on request.
If you have sent us your audiogram in advance, the HD392 will be programmed with 4 volume settings based on your hearing loss profile.
- Setting 1 is set 3dB softer than the software’s recommendation for the audiogram to give a softer option on startup.
- Setting 2 is as per audiogram recommendation
- Setting 3 is 3dB louder than setting 2.
- Setting 4 is 3dB louder than setting 3.
If you do not have an audiogram; our standard setting, suitable for a mild to moderate, high-frequency hearing loss is used to create the 4 settings. Treble tones are boosted up more than lower bass tones.

FAQs
Here's answers to the frequently asked questions about the HD 392 Digital Hearing Aid
The manufacturer of the HD392 took a large sample of men and women’s ear canals into account to try to find the best average fitting, suitable for as many people as possible. The dome options provided can be tried to improve comfort. We cant give a guaranteed 100% fit result for all ear canals, but that’s why our 30 day return period allows for a trial in your own ear, in the comfort of your own home.
If an evaluation by a hearing professional indicates that you have hearing loss in both ears, and especially where the degree of loss is similar, two hearing aids are usually recommended.
While it may be tempting to try to limit the cost by going with a single hearing aid, wearing just one hearing aid may not give you maximum benefit in some difficult listening situations.
If you have a copy of a hearing test available you can send it to us and we can confirm if the HD392 can cover your hearing loss. If you order without providing a hearing test result, you will be trying out its standard settings, which cater for mild to moderate, mainly high frequency hearing loss.
Free fine tuning is also available for the life of the product if needed.
The following items will need to be replaced on the HD392:
- Battery: budget 6 batteries per month (6 batteries in a pack)
- Dome: if you choose to use a dome it will need changing every 2-3 months on average
- Wax guard: varies greatly person to person - average change once every 4 weeks (5 wax guards in a pack)
No on/off switch, just insert battery, close / open battery door
There is no physical push button on the HD392. The 4 volume settings are changed via a pressure-change method. The HD392 will always start up in setting 1. Using a cupped hand, double tap against the ear wearing the HD392. You will hear 2 beeps to indicate setting 2 is now active. Double tap again for setting 3 (3 beeps) and again for setting 4 - the loudest option. To have this further adjusted, we can do a free fine tuning for you.
