FAQ

Why are HearingDirect.com hearing aid prices so much lower than the high street?

We have cut out a lot the expense in the process of buying of a hearing aid. Providing an online service with phone or email follow up allows for many cost savings to be passed directly on to you.

What if I buy a hearing aid and it does not help me?

It takes time to get used to a hearing aid delivering sounds that you may not have heard for a while, so give yourself a chance to get used to your hearing aid but if it still doesn’t help simply send it back for your no quibble money back guarantee. Or you can try another one of our hearing aids that may suit you better for another thirty days. (See our returns policy).

How long do the batteries last for?

The life of your hearing aids batteries will vary depending on length of daily use. Estimated battery life for all our hearing aids can be found on the product page. All HearingDirect.com hearing aids come with a free packet of batteries to get you started. We also offer hearing aids with rechargeable batteries.

Do I need one or two hearing aids?

If there is hearing loss on both ears, from an audiological point of view aiding both ears is usually recommended. There are a number of advantages of ‘binaural’ hearing – e.g. localisation ability can be better preserved. If you do not want to purchase two at once, but are still unsure as to which ear to wear something on, some of the HearingDirect products can be used interchangeably on either the left or right ears. Please call our FREEPHONE number at the top of this page for more details.
